Michael Osborne shares the love on Luxe business cards from Moo

[Alyson Kuhn] This Valentine’s Day, Michael Osborne is sharing his love of design (and hearts) with the digital universe. As part of the launch of online printer MOO’s new Luxe business card line, Osborne has designed a deck of variations on the theme of love. For the next four weeks, you can order any or all of Osborne’s designs on the backs of your business cards. Sound good? The plot — and our give-away — gets thicker.

Michael Osborne’s royal suite for MOO includes several famous kings and queens. Do a pair or two suit you?

MOO’s new Luxe (pronounced lucks) line of business cards is printed on the thickest stock of any cards in the digital kingdom. Mohawk has partnered with MOO to develop Quadplex technology for sandwiching four layers of Mohawk Superfine together, to produce a 600 gsm card (32 pt) — almost three times as thick as a regular MOO business card. Luxe cards are Superfine and super-fun. And their dimensions are a pleasing Euro-proportion: 3-5/16 in. wide (a little narrower than the U.S. standard) x 2-3/8 in. tall (3/8 in. taller than the U.S. standard).

Detail side: The team at MOD can personalize the fronts of their faves.

Do you remember combinations and permutations from junior high math? The notion applies perfectly to MOO business cards: When you order 50 cards, you can have a common front (“detail side”) with 50 different backs, or you can have 50 personalized fronts with a common back. This is why MOO calls their technology Printfinity. But, wait, there is still more.

Osborne adapted elements from his extensive design explorations for his Love stamps for the USPS.

Luxe cards are so thick that the sides offer a design option: a seam of color “sandwiched” in the center. It’s eye catching and fashion forward and conversation starting. Your choice of true red, bright blue (cyan), or pure black. Or you can opt for no color contrast, and just luxuriate in the thick, white sides of Mohawk Superfine.

These patterns are made from bits and pieces of Osborne’s Love stamp design explorations.

Michael Osborne’s designs will be available here for only four weeks. MOO is in the mood for love too. The company will donate 100% of the proceeds from every order using these designs to Osborne’s favorite non-profit, Joey’s Corner. And today Felt & Wire will give away five sets of 50 cards using Osborne’s designs, on our Facebook page. (Winners will be selected randomly.) Happy Valentines Day!

I am a day late because I have been consumed by chocolate. It’s like being in a candy store (Wilmar’s) and not be able to decide which piece of chocolate you would like. Such a pleasurable decision to have both in chocolate and Michael Osborne’s designs. Hmmmm let me see which one?????
