Sitting pretty with PLANEfurniture

[Alyson Kuhn] Michael Boyd, designer of the PLANEfurniture line, collects modernist furniture, art, architecture and design books, and ephemera. Last year, he decided to create a line of modernist-inspired furniture that “makes you think, holds your body, eases your mind, and sits well within your budget.” That’s a quote from the jacket flap of PLANEfurniture: types + prototypes, designed by Mick Hodgson of Ph.D, A Design Office. I recently sat in some of the furniture and can confirm that it is quite user-friendly.

Sweet dimensions: Diecut baby shower invitation

Kristy McTaggart, stationery designer and founder of Artiface, is just as paper-obsessed as we are. She reached out to us and sent along her latest creation, a boxed baby shower invite featuring a sweet little diecut umbrella.

The interiors of the box and lid, and the umbrella diecut, are printed on Strathmore Ultimate white 88 lb. wove cover. Says McTaggart, “We prefer Strathmore covers for pieces like this, because it ‘flexes’ into the corners to make smooth joins yet holds its shape and doesn’t warp with the use of liquid adhesives, such as the glitter line on the umbrella margin.” See more from Artiface here.
