Creative Chain: Connecting creatives one link at a time, week four

[Emily Potts] Last week we were inspired by three amazing artists: Henning Wagenbreth, Sophie Dutertre and Placid. In keeping with the French artist theme, I’m starting off this week’s Creative Chain with an illustrator I deeply admire and respect.

Return to Sender?

Could it really be so? Could we really become a nation without a postal service? Could holiday cards, postcards, birthday cards, catalogs and direct mail, and the infamous “mailman” (not politically correct, I know) become something future generations learn about in history books?

Congress will decide the fate of the United States Post Office in as little as one month from now. But there’s hope. The Save America’s Postal Service campaign is doing all it can to rally communities and not let stamps and envelopes and surprise greetings from friends and family disappear for good.

Next Tuesday, September 27, there will be nationwide events held to gather supporters and sign petitions. Look here for information on attending a rally or organizing one of your own. [KR]
