Creative Chain: Connecting creatives one link at a time, week four

[Emily Potts] Last week we were inspired by three amazing artists: Henning Wagenbreth, Sophie Dutertre and Placid. In keeping with the French artist theme, I’m starting off this week’s Creative Chain with an illustrator I deeply admire and respect.

The Shastablasta blog is hot!

Literally, in some cases! We’re intrigued and inspired by all of the hands-on projects from designer Shasta Garcia’s new tumblr, shastablasta wraps presents well — and she does! But we’re especially fond of the luau wedding menus she made for her friends using Mohawk Skytone … although, to be honest, we’re a little concerned that she may be a fire hazard.

Garcia designed, printed, and burned menus for her friends’ wedding to match the treasure map invitations the couple sent out. The burnt edges give that antique, mysterious look. Shasta, here’s a list to keep in your creative space: http://www.sf-fire.org [SJ]
