[Emily Potts] Last week we were inspired by three amazing artists: Henning Wagenbreth, Sophie Dutertre and Placid. In keeping with the French artist theme, I’m starting off this week’s Creative Chain with an illustrator I deeply admire and respect.

[Kim Rogala] As the Mohawk Show 12 entry deadline approaches (May 31st, so hurry and enter!) we wanted to direct your attention to the Show’s materials that were created by the team at Tether. Snail mail your e-mail Have your e-mails turned into handwritten letters, and sent for free! Snail Mail My Email was created by Ivan Cash, a San Francisco-based art director and avid-letter-writer-turned-e-mailer. ”We move in such a fast-paced world that, sometimes, that world can feel kind of cold and impersonal,” Cash told CNN. He started Snail Mail My Email to encourage people to slow down and take the time to put pen to paper. Here’s the deal: Send an e-mail with your personal note (100 words max) to snailmailmyemail@gmail.com. Cash or one of his volunteers will handwrite the letter for you and mail it out for free. You can also request one custom option to be included with your letter — a doodle, a flower petal, a spray of perfume/cologne, a lip stick kiss, or you may suggest your own. Hurry, though, the project ends in five days! Check out some of my favorite letters below: Hogwarts acceptance letter — wish I had thought of that! See more letters on Flickr. Source: GOOD [SJ]
