So we started mining our “wish list” of amazing speakers. And you know what? I can’t believe we pulled it off, but we did. We have a speaker list that rivals any conference you could attend on Earth.
For starters, consider this range of brilliant minds: Paola Antonelli, senior curator of Architecture and Design at MOMA, and a gifted TED speaker, is the onstage moderator.
How about Jonathan Harris? I saw this man once, and he changed the way I think — you must experience his mind.
From David Droga, the magician of disruptive marketing, to the quiet brilliance of John Maeda, president of RISD.
Or from the corporate brilliance of J Allard, former CTO/CXO of Microsoft, to the offbeat cultural relevance of speakers like Dr. Naif Al-Mutawa, creator of The 99, and Marije Vogelzang, eating designer.
And I don’t even have room to talk about One+One or (Re)Invention Ten. It’ll be flat-out, nonstop stimulation. It’ll feel like this: Sitting in the audience, you’re flipping through your favorite magazine with short, snappy bits interspersed with thoughtful interludes, all wrapped in an inspirational glaze. Come wallow with me in (re)invention at the AIGA GAIN Conference 2010, NYC, Oct. 14–16, 2010.
Stanley Hainsworth is the founder and chief creative officer of Tether, a group of friends who are passionate about one thing — telling stories that matter. Prior to founding Tether, he was VP of Global Creative for Starbucks, where he oversaw all creative aspects for new products, packaging systems, seasonal promotions, brand campaigns, advertising and collateral materials. He also spent 12 years at Nike as a creative director, after which he moved to Denmark to join Lego as its global creative director. Whew. Stanley is also an AIGA Board member … and somehow found time to chair this year’s GAIN Conference.
