Letterpress, typography and film fiends alike should take note of About Face, a typography symposium May 29 at the Denver Art Museum. Featuring screenings of the films Typeface by Justine Nagan and Jack Stauffacher, and Printer by Jim Faris. [Erin Blasco] Tadas Osmolskis is a stamp collector, a pen collector and a volunteer at the National Postal Museum. Last year he brought a handful of World War II-era pens to a museum program exploring letter writing during wartime. Three generations of participants were thrilled. [Tom Biederbeck] Marianne Cook already had an extensive retail career in the greeting card industry when she began to notice something that concerned her. As a buyer for national powers like Target, she saw a lack of attention to the sustainability of the paper we use every day. It was an epiphany that led her to change her career. She left the corporate world and launched her firm Green Stationery, which offers eco-friendly stationery for home and office.
