ENTER THE ICON6 ROADSHOW: DEADLINE IS APRIL 5ICON6, the 2010 installment of the biennial Illustrators Conference, will again feature the Roadshow, where the work of 100 artists is selected for a special portfolio salon. The deadline for self-nominations to be considered for the Roadshow is fast approaching: April 5. To have your work considered, send your name and website address to office@theillustratorsconference.org. Include “Roadshow” in the subject line of your note. (There are fees: $250 per artist, $550 per artist rep — include any questions in your submission note.) ICON6 is billed SUNNY SIDE UP, no doubt due to its location this year in Los Angeles, July 14–17 at the Langham Hotel in Pasasdena. This conference always attracts a startling array of talents … if its inherent coolness isn’t enough to convince you to enter the Roadshow or attend the proceedings, consider this: The fabulous Martha Rich is presiding this year, and Mohawk Fine Papers is among the sponsors.
