[Tom Biederbeck] We hope you like the new FeltandWire.com. We’re expanding our coverage of the world of paper, print and design. Our new site is built to convey the excitement and scope of the artworks, artists and news we’ll be revealing here. [Alyson Kuhn] There’s a theme I’m thinking of, you can see the theme is love, oo-woo, oo-hoo. Any communiqué will appear vaguely valentinear once it’s adorned with a LOVE stamp. Add an envelope made out of a page whose theme is love, and your medium magnifies the message.

Beautiful bookplate book

I’ve just ascertained that copies of California Bookplates, published by the Book Club of California in 2006, are still available. I adore this book for its form, its content and its sensibilities.

Design coverage even a client can love

[Laura Shore] I’ve been on the @issue mailing list since its founding in 1995 by the Corporate Design Foundation, Kit Hinrichs and Delphine Hirasuna. I can’t tell you how many times I forwarded an issue on to senior management with yellow post-it notes. So I was sorry to see the publication cease its print life — but relieved to find it flourishing online.

Stop! It’s paper animation

[Tracy Smith] This past weekend MoMA featured a family program called Cut, Fold, Tear: Paper Animation for “kids ages five and up and adult companions.” They forgot to add “and the paper-obsessed of all ages.”
