Ultimately but tardily, JulesLA, who I am tempted to call La Jules {because I always misread LA Confidential as La Confidential}, came the closest. I think all three designs convey a certain organic-ness, an implied sense of motion or growth. The Reel Centric logo can transform itself; the Tree of Life will grow; Jennifer and Leonel will embark on married life with a grand swoosh. For the record: Reel Centric and Tree of Life are letterpress printed; the wedding suite is offset. Thanks, everyone, for commenting. Each project uses variations on classic printers ornaments and textures to create overall patterns (back of card, back of sheet, band of color) and tactile, graphic shapes on the front. Connotations of a particular time period as well…not 2009. Each lovely!
